Keep the Trip Short but Sensible
A short trip built only around the trek reduces daily costs, but do not compress it so much that you arrive exhausted or risk missing the date. Two nights near the park, with a full day for the trek and a day either side for travel, is a common minimum. Adding a second trek or a second park multiplies costs.
